Far to often when closing a window with vista the screen goes white and fails to close. Will not close using the min window at bottom of screen either. Have to go to task manager and shut application down. Is there a fix?

Doesn't sound like your missing a feature option, it sounds like you have malware running.
Do a good cleaning and re-boot and get back with any error messages or what ever.
