Full Version: Outlook Express .dbx File Won't Open

I have always backed up my Outlook Express 6 folders (.dbx files) by going to the store location of these folders and copying them to my external hard drive. Fortunately, I have never had to resort to needing them.
This time however, I mistakenly moved one of the folders instead of copying it. I use the “Copy To Folder” and “Move To Folder” feature by right clicking after selecting a file. When I opened Outlook Express I noticed it was missing.
I tried to move it back and/or copy it back to the store location but it will not show up when I open Outlook Express now.
Does anyone have any idea as to how I can solve this problem? Is there some program that I can install to open a .dbx file. Unfortunately, it is a very important folder. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Move the file away from the "store folder" location.

Open OE and click on File -> Import and drill down to the file and import the mail...

Thanks for getting back to me. I have tried that and it still won't work. This particular folder still doesn't show up when I open Outlook Express.
