Full Version: Problems With Firefox 2.0.0.12

I shifted to Firefox a few years back and found it a really excellent browser - before the last two updates. But since then, whenever I try to watch a YouTube video, I get the irritating message:

Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe's Flash Player. Get the latest Flash player.

The problem is that JavaScript is turned on, I do have the latest Flash player, and the videos play well enough if I switch to Internet Explorer which I don`t like having to do for various reasons.

With the latest Firefox update (2.0.0.12) another irritating problem has cropped up since, at some sites such as Amazon, it`s now failing to load images and even active links which always loaded perfectly before and which load well enough in IE.

I`d appreciate any suggestions as to how to get Firefox working properly again.

Hi Scorpion:

Many thanks.

I visited the link and it seems there`s a whole bunch of people having the same problem.

I`ll check out the various suggestions there to see if any of them work.

Cheers.
