Hi Computergeek, welcome to SAF! hello.gif

Which MOBO...P5K what...or is it the base P5K? I.e, I have the P5K-C.

Well, first thing that comes to mind is the video card drivers. did you install them. I assume so, but I have to ask.

Another possibility is a bad stick of ram, even though it's unlikely. Pull one stick out if you can (if the board will handle it, check the specs, it may need 2 sticks to boot).

Last thing I can think of off hand is that the HD went into PIA mode...but I believe that board uses sata, no, so that wouldn't be an issue.

I'm going to go wth vid drivers...uninstall them and reinstall them, just in case.

Come on back and let us know how it goes.

[Oh, and why the separate network card when you have it built in?]

Hi computergeek,
Have u try switching off ur Vsync at ur graphic panel?? It works great. maybe u can do some tweakings over there to boost the performance.
