Alright, so my cousin got a new computer right. His windows is Windows Vista Home Edition and when we tried to listen to music, there was no sound. I tried configuring the monitors, I tried, rehooking, restarting, everything you can think of. I also messed around with the wire plugging it into different holes and trying to listen but to no avail. Does anyone know what's wrong?

Interesting, did you try turning the brightness up to maximum?

Otherwise, you could check the mini jack plugs from the speakers (the one that looks like a headphones plug) They are usually colour coded. In most cases, the speaker cable is green and thus goes into the green mini-jack plug.

Also, most speakers today use there own power supply, is the power plugged into the speakers and turned on at the wall? Do the speakers have there own volume controls and on switch?

The computer will have come with a manual that shows where the various cables go when you're hooking it up. Does it look correct?
