In reference to THIS thread, I tried the free ringtone maker. I thought the song had to be cut to 30 seconds to work, but now I see file sizes are relevant as well. At 351k the phone (Samsung A717) says the file is too large to be used as a ringtone. It's on an SD card so obviously that's not an issue. The site does work, but I have to take the file down to around 240k. Now, a ringtone I have is 31.1 seconds long, but only 240k in size, so that's what I'm assuming the size needs to be (unsure), only I don't know how to get it there.

What is the file extension? If it's MP3, what bitrate did you select? Run it again at a lower bit rate, such as 48, which will cut the size in half.
