Hello,

I am on a network. When saving a document as "Save As" I have to go through multiple clicks to get it to the correct directory. Is there a way to set a default path?

It depends on the program. Many of the programs have the default path 'hardwired' in the programming, with it often being the "My Documents" folder. It is possible to modify the registry to change this path to a desired one. There are a couple of locations in the registry that sets the My Documents location. Doing this would change everything that uses the 'My Documents' location to the new path, however.

Jim,

I guess it is not going to work then. Thank you for the response.

Not sure on a network, but in Word, go to Tools, Options, File Locations, and change the path.
