I have both these on my pc, I'm reading that Adobe is being hacked, do I need both? I rarely use
them, but do occasionaly have the need for a reader. Can I delet adobe entirely? Or would that
cause a problem? Thanks,

I removed Adobe about a year ago after it started to become a huge resource hog and exhibited instability problems. Foxit Reader is really a treat, in my book.

Jim thanks ..so do I just go into "change/remove" programs
and delete the adobe program?

Yep, Add/Remove is the right way to do it. If you still have an 'Uninstall' shortcut for it in the Program Menu folder, that is the same thing.
