I am having a terrible time getting legitimate emails through to our clients and the one common thread is the "Received: from unknown" within the bounceback information. I've just spent an hour with our hosting service and the guy just said "it happens and there is nothing you can do about it." I can't believe this is true! Can someone help me fix this? What can I do to my set up information to replace the "unknown" with something legitimate that won't trigger filters? Thanks in advance for any advice!

If all of them are not getting sent back with "Unknown" and just some of them are . A possibility could be that the person that you are sending them to doesn't have their email setup to accept incoming from you. You could try to call one of them and see if they have blocks on their mail and check to make sure that they can recieve from you. Hope this helps some.

I have had lots of problems when I send attachments along with my emails to our clients; the spam filters detect the attachment and nuke the whole thing, and my client is sitting there wondering why they haven't received my spec sheets on their equipment. I have to follow up with a phone call to confirm that it got to them, and about 20% of my sends don't get through.
