i was trying to install Emergency Room Intern but when try to install it, it says that it couldn't detect a sound card and it asks me to type in its port, IRQ, and DMA, i can't figure out how to find this info.

the game is old, originally for DOS and Windows 95 and i am operating on Windows XP. I tried finding a more recent version of the game but no luck. i noticed there was a post in 2004 with the same question from "Griim" but no answer was posted and it is locked.

Does anyone know if there is a way to make this work?

Quite a few of those old DOS games will not run on 2000+ systems. I'll ask Jim to have a look at this as I think he might know of an emulator that will allow you to run this.

Actually this site might help you.

Requires a bit of tweaking but they might help you. I'll keep on looking into the sound card issues and such but try here to start.

I've had excellent results with old DOS programs using DOSBox.
