Can anyone suggest a program that will read PDF files please.

I don't know if Acrobat Reader is the right program for this.

Right now my PDF files open in Photoshop and they are almost illegible. Very hard to read.

If anyone has a suggestion could you please post a link where I might get a FREE download.

Annie, I use FOXIT READER. It is much smaller than Adobe, and I have had no trouble with it.

I STRONGLY recommend Foxit reader, too. Acrobat Reader has become a very large, bloated program that can be troublesome at best.

Is there a freebie I can download or do I need to purchase it. There are so many options. Which one do I get?

Annie, about 1/2 way down the page I listed, download and run foxit reader for windows 2.2. I note this shows a buy box, etc., but it is free unless you use in commercially. Hope this helps.
