Originally set up Broadband on a desktop using the AOL broadband drivers’ disc and BT Voyager 100. Then an ex-tenant set up a wireless network with a D-Link G604T Wireless Modem Router, took the BT Voyager Broadband Modem out of the equation and hard-wired the D-Link directly into the desktop. This was for our wireless laptops. Last year I go rid of the desktop but the Laptop continued to work as per norm (perhaps I should have loaded the AOL Broadband drivers onto the laptop?). Then last week my laptop broke and I have replaced it with a new one which has Windows Vista Home Premium. I could get straight onto the wireless network at my parents (isp Toucan) but I can’t get a wireless connection on mine. It was picking up the G604T as an ‘Unnamed Network’ – so I typed in G604T followed by the security password but to no avail. I was however able to hard-wire into the wireless modem and got a connection one evening. But now even when doing that it is saying it is connected but ‘Local Area Only’ and the explorer window crashes.

Perhaps I need to load upgraded AOL drivers and use and AOL Wireless Modem Router?
