I get at max 20 FPS in Star Trek Legacy. I know my computer isnt top notch but i think it should be good enough to run the game at least at 40 FPS. I turned down the detail level, and Anti Aliasing and it help slightly but the game menu still is erratic. I am planning on upgrading my RAM and I was wondering if that would help I am going from 512 MB to 1GB of DDR. I saw there was a mod for the game that is supposed to get rid of nebulas to help performance. But i dont know what to do after downloading it. Could you help me or is it not worth it. Please answer my questions with the most knockledge you have. It would be highly appreciated. If you dont know much about this topic dont worry. Just give me your best.

you only have the minimum req'd ram, so an update will help. What MB is your gfx card. if it is only 128 its still borderline.

Ensure all background programs are closed before starting game.

The mod is most probably a zip file - open it and look for a readme
