It's Ok Bill, we can leave it.
When I said "Hmmmm" above, I was just wondering if that was what our friends was talking about, what his brother had.
HEREWould T-Mobile work on desktops??

That's exactly what your friend was talking about (so Angoid,
I was trying to tell you something), forget the replies in that above thread, it has nothing to do with Wireless cards, satellites or stealing bandwidth. They (using Mobile Technology) operate on their own Mobile Networks (hence the sim chip).
Yep, they do work on desktops (I've connected two recently - T-Mobile and 3, Vodaphone do one as well), typically £10-£20 a month (min 18 month contract) with Broadband speeds of just under 4 MB (can achieve faster speeds/more £'s). A nice little gizmo that you can take anywhere.
Bill.
