How do I go into Microsoft Word and change the default font so that when I begin typing in a new document, it creates the document with the font of my choice (i.e. Bookman) instead of Times New Roman?
What version of word are you using? 2000, 2003, 2007 ???????

For all those except 2007.
Goto, in the menu, Format -> Font
Change to whatever you want.
Click the "Default" button in the bottom left corner.
Press Yes.
Job Done.
Im 99% sure it is the same principle in 2007, except without the menus, as its all ribbony!

condorstats suggestion will work for the current doc. You can do those steps and Save As->Template->Normal.dot to have all future docs have the new font.
