Hi ,
I got a problem with my flash disk.
I have a 1GB flash disk. I have files that counts for almost 700 Mb.
I was opening my flash disk as usually when I found nothing in my flash disk.
I checked the flash disk properties and found that the 700 mb are still there ( which means that the files are still there).
I tried the view options to " show hidden files " but nothing was shown.
I have tried several antivirus and antyspyware programs but all failed to solve the problems.
I hope any body could help in solving this problem and get my files back.

thanks
jimholly
Welcome to our forum, smartways!

At this point, you may need to try a data recovery program on it, such as R-Studio or File Recovery Angel. However, my neighbor had a thumb drive that had this exact same problem, and he couldn't recover a thing. Couldn't write new data to it either. He finally tossed it.

Hi smartways,
An antivirus cannot help you at this point of time you need to try Data Recovery Software. I personally had an experience of recovering lost files from an external hard drive. Give it a try and one more thing; please take care not to write any new data the media as this may overwrite the existing data and considerable reduce the chances of data recovery.

Hope this helps you!
