hi from a newbie!

what is the best pop up blocker? i keep getting a "messenger service" sayin my registry is in disrepair and to go to several different websites for a fix each pop up has it's own website listed for a fix. one is from regfixbla-bla bla- and it pertains to xp and i am not running xp .
can anyone help. i am sure my registry is ok. i am running win 2000 over win ME

could it be so?

Chances are that you have some Adware malware on your computer; go to our Malware/Virus forum and post a Hijack This log there. At the top of the forum is a post on how to obtain and use Hijack This. One of our techs will be along to help you.

Also if you have not done a registry clean up in awhile your PC performance will not be up to scratch to prevent certain popups.
