I can not find the USB flash drive after I attach it to my PC (SimpleTech BonzaiExpress 1GB) I downloaded the falsh drive drivers, restarted the PC, attached the drive, got new device found message...but then after it found the drivers I could not find the drive.
Could this be because the day before I simply unplugged a USB connected instead of clicking down in the right hand system tray & disconnecting the drive? I read some where that with Win98, if you do not disconnect properly from a USB port, then nothing else will connect thru that USB port. If this is true, how do I find & fix or delete ghost USB connections?
Win98, Pentium II 400MHz, 96MB RAM

In the System Properties, Device Manager, try removing the entries under Universal Serial Bus Controllers, then reboot. These will be reloaded upon reboot, and hopefully your flash drive will be functional again. Do not plug the drive in until everything else is up and ready.

OK, just confirming I can remove everything under Universal Serial Bus Controller. I'll try that & let you know. Thank you for your help, I really appreciate it.
