Hi fares, welcome to SAF
Different static IPs for each machine is the right thing to do to avoid conflicts.
Are you using XP on all systems hooked to the lan ?
If yes, my first thought will be that you need to update all of them to the latest security patches and updates.
If you have any Win98 or Win ME systems on the same lan, I woud try to install the NetBeui protocol on all systems to see if they can see each others.
Don't forget to install Microsoft lan client and files and printer sharing on all systems.
Let us know how it goes.

what happens when you ping the ip address of the computers from one that can see the network.
also unplug the cat5 cable from the switch on the pc's that can not see the network, when you plug the cat5 cable back in the link light should come on on the switch. Do the same at the pc. The NIC link light should come on also ( NIC = Network interface card) Try turning the switch off / on again, switch cat5 cables in the ports, might have dead ports. Is the switch connected to the internet ? if yes that might be an issue, for more then a few reasons.
