Hi, Have just bought a wireless laptop and need some help on how to get wireless internet all set up and running because i dont know much about things like that . Ive got AOL broadband on my desktop PC with the standard BT Voyager 105 ADSL modem. So what would i need to do to get it all up and running? Help would be much appreciated. Thanks

sounds like your gonna need a wireless router...... I would check to see that your modem has an ethernet connection and not just a usb.... it will still work with just a usb but its more difficult.

You can contact AOL however I don't know how much help they will be. I guess you can tell I have little confidence in AOL. Are you sure you want to use AOL as your internet provider?

AOL Broadband is just their service provided through RoadRunner. Last time I saw the monthly rate for it, they charged $10 more per month for AOL than the regular RoadRunner service. That may have changed. AOL was bad news even back when I first got onto the internet almost 10 years ago. Back then, they dropped dialup connections so often that we referred to them as 'Always Off Line'.
