Ok, I'm new here, and I wasn't sure where to put this, this is for a friend of mine. Ok, well there's a problem with my friend's internet and we're not entirely sure what it is. For some weird reason the net will only connect IF the phone is on. We don't know what to do and nothing I've looked up helps. My friend has a 5.8GHz cordless phone, has Verizon internet, and a Verizon DSL router. That's all I know, sorry, but I can get more info if needed. Just please help.

Call in a trouble ticket to Verizon. It's their responsibility. It could be a problem with a filter, the modem, drop line, etc. Verizon uses about the cheapest chunk of junk modems they can buy.

What if you unplug the phone all together from the wall ?
