Hi, just got 4 mth old pc from in law and trying to set it up wirelessly. Each time I try to install wifi adapter it doesnt recognise it and says that it didnt install properly. It doesnt recognise router unless plugged in by ethernet and I've now tried 2 different dongles and they have exactly same response. Can anyone help. I have another pc and laptop running from router wirelessly so i know thats working ok. How do I solve this problem? One of the dongles worked for about 2 minutes yesterday and then suddenly stopped again after microsoft update was installed. But now cant get either of them working. Ones a realtek and the others a Sagem

Uninstall both, and then re-install one of them. It could be conflicting drivers.

I would check to make sure you have the updated motherboard drivers on the machine. USB Drivers might be wacked out. Also I agree with Neo Uninstall them both and only install the one you want to try and use.
