Full Version: Drive Full But No Files

Hi All,
been having a look through the topics hoping someone else may have had the same problem already answered but couldn't find anything.

One of my many partitions which appears empty has a message popping up to say it's full. It's 1.5GB in size with 6.17mb free. There are no files in there however. I want to use this space to expand on my system drive with a partition manager.

I am unable to use the partition manager on this logical drive in any way, can't format it, convert it or delete it.
Formatting brings up a message to say it needs to be dismounted but when i choose option to force dismount it says the volume is in use.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
If more info is needed please let me know.

Win Explorer->Tools->Folder Options->View Tab-> there are three options to Hide files...Uncheck them and then look at the partition and see if you can see the files.

Thanks Steve,
I generally keep all my hidden files on show and unfortunately there are no files, hidden or otherise, on the drive that can be removed.

Hi,

is the partition in question being used by Windows' swap-file by any chance?
