OK first things first, I am very computer savvy, I know what I am doing so don't be afraid to go into detail.

I have tried different drivers
Different game settings
Different maps
Different RAM, CPU + PSU
Checking heat, which is cool

But nothing can solve the following problem:

I have black, stop sign shape blotches that flicker on and off all over the mountains and terrain, when the character stops dead, the stop signs stop flickering, when I move... even marginally... they flicker (basically after each mouse movement).

The stop signs are still there when I stop.

If anyone can solve my problem I would really appreciate it!

have u checked to make sure your video card settings are correct? i play bf2 and have a 6600 card and i get no problems at all, as long as i turn off anti-asiling, never heard of your problem tho, ill see what i can come up with

AMD 4000+ (2.4GHz)
2GB Ram
Setting's for bf2 set to medium and it run's ok, yours is 23X better than mine

I have changed mouse too. Still has same problem, I have video settings all correct and have tried all different settings.

have u tried a reinstall of bf2?

have you tried installing ForceWare Release 163 Version: 163.71 WHQL Release Date: September 28, 2007 for your Geforce 8800 GTX?

have you been to the BF2 community? i guess its a game related issue with some video cards!

Voor de 8800 GTX heb je toch minimaal een 500 watt voeding nodig en het is ook erg belangrijk dat je ALLE 2 de PCI-E stroomvoorzieningen op de 8800 gtx hebt aangesloten!
(You need at least 500 watt and be sure that BOTH PCI-E powersupplies at the 8800 GTX are connected!)


TODAY I FOUND A TOPIC WITH THE SAME PROBLEM.

"IT SEEMS THAT WHEN YOU START BF2 FROM THE CD (OR A SHORTCUT TO THE EXE ON THE CD) YOU GET THE FLICKERING. I NOW START BF2 FROM THE EXE ON MY PC AND HAVE NO PROBLEM ANYMORE !"
