Does anyone know if I am doing something wrong, all I do is download a torrent from torrnentspy and open it in azureus.

All help appreciated.

I've used eMule and Sharaza in the past, and many downloads can be painfully slow. I'm not at all familiar with the program you use, so not much help here. The common items I've found with those I have used is speed settings (throttles) in the Options and a means to update the server list that the program uses.

Downloading torrents, especially for the 'rarer' items, can be quite a try on one's patience. smile.gif

Are you using a router? If so you need to port forward.
In any case you need the firewall to allow access by the program Azureus

OK I have heard about this app so I figured that I would do some lookin around.

After all I have seen on their site
http://phoenixlabs.org/pg2/

This application is nothing more then a nice ACL (access control list)

now if you understand the most basic part of networking you will avoid this application for p2p. When I say the most basic part I mean this. For ANY DEVICE to communicate using tcp/ip the mac address of the device is the first data passed! Well the sad part about that is everything is trackable so that said....... QUIT STEALING from the developers. Oh and to the developers..... if you create an application that is garbage you wont be a developer long.

WOW will you look at that I fell off the soap box laugh.gif roflmao.gif laugh.gif
