Hi from a Newbie
I've previously used this excellent utility several times (Win XP Home) with success.

Today however when I really needed it (System Restore was disabled after ERUNT trials) I found a problem. When restoring yesterday's backup file, ERUNT several times choked and explained that a particular file was a security file and could not be recovered. The backup did complete and all seems well -- but what does that mean? Sadly in the heat of the moment I did not record any error numbers, and I certainly don't intend to repeat the exercise.

Also, I've tried to tag this onto existing topics concerning ERUNT (I wanted a reply from Hannibal) but they all seem closed. ?

Hi, Cynic, and welcome to our forum.

You're probably one of the very few that uses ERUNT anymore. Most folks here probably aren't familiar with it. I've never used it myself, in all the years I've been into these computer gadgets. Having two operating systems installed, I just boot over into one to backup or restore the other using the old DOS command 'XCopy'. Fast and dependable.

Perhaps Moon will pop in here with some comments on ERUNT, as I believe he's quite familiar with it.
