Just saw 3:10 to Yuma with Russell Crow and Dennis Hopper. This is a good Western in the old style of Clint Eastwood (without the Italian influence, and a much deeper psychological study). I really think that Dennis Hopper turns in a strong performance as the homocidal maniac - faithful 1st lieutenant of the gang. Good, solid strong performances well worth the price of a ticket. Just a warning, it's pretty violent, but also quite realistic, pretty much how these western gangs were.

I'm wondering if this is a remake of Last train to gunhill. With Kirt Douglas. And I thought Burt Lancaster, but was wrong about Burt.
Hey 1959. Almost 50 years ago. like was yesterday, I wish. bb

Npoe. it's same name from 1957 with Glen Ford. I never missed a western when a kid.

I'll agree, it's worth seeing - one of the best 'modern' westerns I've seen.

(I brought a copy of it with me to the folks this weekend, so they can enjoy it, too.
