1. Boot into Safe Mode and do disk cleanup.

2. Click on Start > Run > command > %temp% and delete temporary files.

3. Empty Recycle Bin

4. Do a Disk Defragmentation

Consider additional memory.

In addition to Zap's suggestion, you might run a Hi Jack This log and post it in the Malware forum with a brief explanation. You may have a bunch of garbage loading that should be cleaned out, or possibly some nasties that are on your system.
