Hi , This is My first question On this site , I have looked for an answer here so far but havent found any info relating to my question.
Basicly Im running windows xp sp 2 , and i have installed perfect disk 8 build 64 which i think is the latest update. Its a great prgram and i sense the increase in performance beacuse of this program however When i first installed it a few weeks ago i noticed that the METADATA SIZE was approxamitely 70.6 mb ,Now a few weeks later on as i regulary defrag the pagefile and metadata sections on drive c:\ I VE noticed the MEATADATA increase slightly over the weeks each time i do a meatadata defrag now SHOWING METADATA SIZE 99.1 MB so essentiall its increased almost 30 mb....I havent been installing and uninstalling programs beacause i have purposly had this machine built for audio and so i installed everything i need and then finallypefect disk to maintain fast drives on this pc .......So my question is ,IS it normal for the metadata size to change I.E increase in size because MY drive d:\ which has audio files only doesnt seem to increase ,and then if it is normal behaviour is there a limit to any particular metadata size , i hope so i wouldnt want it to continue ......I really appreciate what you guys appear to do here on this site and thank you for your time in advance............HOPE you can answer this ..................Also If this is normal behaviour should i expect to see metadata increase in size @ the rate i mentiond above in other defrag programs cos the .......thing is normal windows deffrag program says it cant defrag all files ,did it in safe mode and still the same all files cant defrag ,perfect disk does defrag all but im uneasy about the metadata issues .....thnx guys which is y i wanted to find out
