I am wondering if it is possible to switch my OS from the Linspire Linux OS to Windows XP? I was thinking completely reformatting the HD and installing Windows XP from scratch? I am unsure of if this will work or not though and would rather find out if it is possible before blowing the money to get a new copy of Windows XP.

You will probably have to do a low level format on the hard drive before installing XP. Although I have not used killdisk, I suspect it works well. I use a program called zap when I want to prepare a previously formated Linux hard drive for installing any Microsoft operating system. You might be able to google and find freebie software that will do the trick.
