Can anyone tell me how to make new partition on Packard Bell 2500 mini harddisk?

I 've already tried with Partition Magic 7.0, but when the PM starts and do the scan give a message like:
PowerQuest PartitionMagic has detected an error 110 on the partition starting at sector 2048 on disk 2 (is the Packard Bell disk).
The length of the partition in the partition table is incorrect.
The CHS length is 312590722, the LBA length is 312576000, and the File System is 312575999.
PowerQuest PartitionMagic has determined that the length can be changed to the correct value of 312590722.
Would you like PowerQuest PartitionMagic to fix this error?

I tried the option "fix", but after that the harddisk was not responding at all. Is not recognizable, and the format is not possible.

Your partition may have gotten corrupted somehow; try to use Windows 98 startup disk to run F-disk and see if that would solve your problem. Also, you can install Windows XP and it will give the option to partition and format your hard drive, and if this doesn’t work, then you can try this program but it will take a very long time to finish running:
Active@ Kill Disk

Hello georgil, and welcome to SAF!

I feel like a doctor that has to give a patient bad news.

So many people have trashed their systems using Partition Magic I gave up counting 3 years ago.

PM is a totally great program AFTER you have learned how to use it and it's hidden land mines. PM does what Microsoft never intended-change or add partitions (which is basic formatting of a hard drive) after the fact. Yes, Yes Yes there are those who swear by PM and use it all the time; and then....

At this point PM has corrupted the partitions in the hard drive. Assuming that you are running Windows XP, use your XP installation disk to reset the partitions, reformat in NTFS and reinstall XP. If you have a recovery disk or hard drive partition, use that to restore XP. Either way you will lose all your data and programs.

OR as Dino suggested you can use the Windows 98 boot disk to wipe all partitions and then use the XP disk to repartition and format wth NTFS.

Sorry...
