I am not familiar with using this website and I think my problem did not get completely posted.

Here is my problem (groan):

When I startup my PC, I get the "Blue Screen of Death" telling me my BIOS (whatever that is) has a problem. The "System/PCI Frequency (MHz)" is in error. I enter the correct number and then press "Save & Exit". This works for the automatic reboot, but when I turn off the computer and cold start it, I get the same error message on the "Blue Screen of Death". It doesn't seem to hold/save the change I made.

Please help me. I don't have much more hair on my head to pull out!

TIA.

There is a little three dollar battery that saves these settings. Odds are the battery needs to be replaced.

Steve, thanks a million for your help. That small battery did the trick! My computer is now up and running just fine.

Sending you a great big cyber-hug for sharing your knowledge, and saving my sanity, and the rest of the hair on my head!
