If the files go to the TIFs then they can be saved. Copy it out of the TIFs and then rename it whatever you wish, with an extension of .flv. Many of the streams lately have been going into the Temp folder as a .tmp file, however, and it won't let you touch it. As soon as you close the web page that it is playing on, it disappears. The only way I've saved them so far is to hit the reset button and restart the computer that way, then the .tmp file will remain in the Temp folder and can be copied from there, and renamed with an .flv extension. I've even tried letting the file close out, then attempt to restore it with R-Studio, but it won't even see it on the drive.

Those programs like VideoPiggy and Quivic will convert the .flv to another format, but I haven't had any luck with them capturing the .tmp files directly.

Hey Moon ol' buddy! If you are running Firefox, just get the Flash download button for Firefox; go to your Utube website, call up your video and click the button. It saves and you are done. One mouse click.
Firefox Video Downloader

If you want to view it easy, I use Super Video Converter (free) to convert it to mpeg2 and play it on whatever you want. OR you can convert it to mpeg3 and strip the sound only if you so desire.

Super File Converter
Since the author wants you to read his rather amateurish webpage, it is a pain to find the download link.
*Click on my link, Super File Converter
*Dial to the bottom of the page, click on "Start Downloading SUPER".
*Dial about 4 or 5 lines down and click on the blue hot link, "download and use",
*Dial to the bottom of the next page and click on one of the 4 mirror sites on the left; 27 meg download

Super, as you will see, is a very serious piece of software! Don't be intimidated, just drag your FLV file and drop it in the lower window, make sure you are set to mpeg2 and click the convert button. In a few seconds you have an mpeg2 file.

The small and free VLC Media Player will play those flash video and google video files nicely.
