[b]Hi every body. Please I need your help. Could anybody help and guide me as to make my newly purchased portable hard drive work with my laptop. I connected it through the USB as required and it appears in my computer as drive E. I tried to format the drive by right clicking on it and selected format, but it did not respond to this. I have had an expreience where I some time used disk manager on window xp to discover and configured an hard drive, but I have forgotten how. My OS is XP home edition. The drive came with a disk which I was able to open once and since could not open to read the file on the accompany disk. Can anybody think of what I need to do to make the drive work?
Thank you.

Hi Sola

Did you actually go into Control Panel/ Admin Tools/ Computer Management/ Disk Managment and try to format it from there?
