i have avg anti virus and avg spyware do i need anything else if yes can i get where to get it free

This is what I use, along with my antivirus:
ZoneAlarm free Firewall from http://www.zonelabs.com/store/content/comp...reeDownload.jsp (scroll down the page and get ZoneAlarm Firewall free basic protection, not the security suite trial)
Spybot S&D resident shield, from http://www.safer-networking.org/en/mirrors/index.html
SpywareBlaster: http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/sbdownload.html (update the definition files on install and once a week after install)
SpywareGuard: http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/sgdownload.html
RegProt (warns every time a registry key is changed and allow to deny if suspicious): http://www.diamondcs.com.au/index.php?page=regprot
Crazy Browser from http://www.crazybrowser.com/ instead of IE (although it needs the IE engine to run, it has built-in popup blocker and content filter). You may also consider FireFox.
With safe surfing and mailing habits (never let the mail preview pane enabled, as new baddies now comes embedded in the text or hidden scripts - delete any suspicious mail without viewing them), this will keep most baddies away.

I'm not familiar with AVG but you may have all you need.
Our corporate IT requires Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition and at least one other spyware program on all servers and desktops.
One of the additional spyware programs they recommended is SpyBot Search & Destroy, which is what we use at my devision office. But since you have AVG Spyware, so you already have a 2nd level of protection.
Chris & Tecknomage, I have all but 2 of Chris's stated utilities. But also Windows Defender what is both of your knowledge on this utility?
I also run Super Anti spyware Free and Counter Spy along with Trend Micro Security 2007 suite. But the fire wall doesn't seem to work so I have to use the dreaded M$ Fire wall. Trend Micro Tech Support wants me to do so many things to see if it might work. That I'm just going to let it run out and get another single Firewall.
