Dear Friends

Hope this is the right forum for this.

HP Desktop - is identifying the existence of my BT Wireless Hub - and a strong signal but when I try to connect thru "Choose a wireless network" it fails to connect - with no error message.

NB although the main "Choose a wireless network" screen shows a strong signal - this does not register on the small green corresponding signal strength icon on the tool bar.

Taking the "Repair" option doesn't work either. = fails at "connecting to the wireless network"

Has all worked perfectly in the past - my only suspicion - is that a BT wireless connection program seemed to have loaded itself when the problem arose - but I have deleted this now and rebooted with no effect.

I'm sure it'll be some setting somewhere - but where ?

Any guidance welcome

Best wishes

What is a BT wirlelss conn. program, and how did it get loaded? Sounds like you have some settings changed.

Hi Ranchhand

BT are a major supplier of kit and services here in the UK and this comes with its own software. As ithappens I have resolved the issue by a damn good clean up - so no worries this time !
