Hey I'm trying to format my C: and install a fresh the Win XP media Edit. I also tried using my standard Windows XP version, But when I boot up thorugh the CD , I can only get as far as the Microsoft Terms License agreement screen.

There it asks me to press F8 to agree, but when I do, nothing happens. I cannot go any further. I used pg down to scroll right down the page, but still F8 does nothing. It's like my keyboard button doesn't work, but I've tried another keyboard and still nothing. wacko.gif
Does anyone know what's wrong or what I can do?

Thanks alot

I'm betting you're using USB keyboards....Look in the BIOS for a setting to enable legacy USB devices ....or use a PS2 keyboard for the install.

Argh. I had a problem such as this. I was using a wireless keyboard and when I was in a dos style part of windows trying to fix an old drive of mine the wireless receiver would not pick up my keyboard due to the fact that I was not past the installer screen tongue.gif

It resulted in a frantic search for almost 30 minutes of a port keyboard lol.

Lesson learned. Wireless keyboards and mouse are more hassle then they are worth smile.gif

I have seen this type of post thousands of times where a person has an all singing, dancing USB/wireless mouse and keyboard only to find that once they access the BIOS it's about as much use as an ashtray on a motorbike.
