Hello

Win XP Pro, 160 Gb Samsung ntfs HD , 3 Partitions (50%, 25%,25%) + 1 BACKUP 120gb Samsung fat32 HD

For some reason ,so many times ive had to format my drive, reinstall windows + loads of other softwares.
It is so time consuming.
I Have never done it but i know that some software can make an excat copy of your disk.
I wish to know if :

1. If it is possible to clone on the (same hard disk) , 1 partition on another

2. I can install windows + say , office+antivir+antispy+firewall+mail client and some other softwares and then make a clone of the hard disk. The only problem i suppose i will get here is my antir+antipy will be outdated and i will need to run updates . Is this the right thing to do?

3.Can someone please recommend me a nice software to do perform such tasks, a freeware if possible since am not going to clone a disk so often

Many thanks for your precious time.

Acronis True Image (not free) is one of the most popular cloning softwares...Norton Ghost is another.
