I have two different softwares that won't load properly. When I click to open they flash on screen for about 2 seconds and than close. I have turned off Norton AV & Firewall when I attempt to open. What can I try next?

What programs are they? Have you been using these programs previously with no problems? Have you noticed anything else odd that your computer is doing as well?

These sound like DOS-based programs, which will open the command prompt for a fraction of a second then close out again. Normally you would open a command prompt yourself then execute the program from the command line. However, since progam installs for Windows are rarely ever provided in this format now, it sounds more like a 'nasty' file, since most of them still use this method to infect your machine.
