i have a wireless broadband and the problem is when i open my network connections and go directly to the entire network then to microsoft windows network i can see other workgroups aside from mine! how is this possible? on one instance i click on one of the computer on those workgroups and to my surprise i can really view some files particularly the shared docs with those pictures and music on it. i viewed the pictures and recognized it was my neighbor's so rush to their house and told her about it. i checked her firewall and so i turned it on, ican no longer view the files but still there different workgroup names on the said network which i can still see! pls if anyone knows how to fix this stuff i would gladly welcome your help!

Hi axellexa,

You may secure your wireless access point and network, but you are not responsible for seeing your neighbors non-secure networks. Your system will detect and see any open wireless access point.

What is really important is to protect your own. The links below explains a bit more about it:

Hope it will help,

Chris
