I have an old PC that runs Windows 98 with 64mb RAM. It is not connected to the internet but I would like to run something like Drivescrubber 3 before recycling it.

Drivescrubber is refusing to run without an internet connection. Any suggestions as to whether you can make it run without a net connection or whether there are better alternatives to do the same job?

You can download and run (from a floppy, of course), ClearHDD, a free utility from Samsung that will overwrite all on the hard drive.
