I have 2 PC's (wired to a router) and 1 notebook (wireless). PC 1 can see both PC 2 and the notebook. PC 2 can see only the notebook. The notebook can only see PC 2. All three can ping each other using both IP and name. When I do a search for computers I find PC 1 but get the "not accessible - might not have permission..... - contact the administrator ...... - Access is denied.
All PC's have XP Home sp2 and all have file sharing clicked. All 3 have Zonealarm and are configered to accept each other in the Trusted zone.
Thanks for any help or suggestions.

Do you have access list on the router that could prevent the contact

I have all 3 PC's listed in the router. My guess is that the router is not the problem.

I bet you tried this, but what happens when you shutdown ZA on all the systems ?

You may also try to add the Netbeui protocol on all of them to see if it helps (as it would when you have more than one OS, such as Win98SE on your network).

Wrong wired cables may also cause this... rolleyes.gif
