I'm having an issue with the on board NIC on a Intel MB (D845GVSR). I have reloaded the Bios, Updated the MB chipset and attempted to update the NIC drivers. After the update wizard completes the following message appears: "Cannot start this hardware. There was a problem installing this hardware. Intel Pro/100VE Network Connection. Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing [Code 39]." I also installed a PCI NIC and disabled the "On Board" with the same results. Any thoughts???
Thanks
Rick A.

Code 39
Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)

Recommended resolution

Reasons for this error include a driver that is not present; a binary file that is corrupted; a file I/O problem, or a driver that references an entry point in another binary file that could not be loaded.

Uninstall the driver, and then click Scan for hardware changes to reinstall or upgrade the driver.

On the General Properties tab of the device, click Troubleshoot to start the Troubleshooting Wizard.

You may not have the proper drivers... your mobo is not listed on the Intel Pro/100VE Network Connection here: http://downloadcenter.intel.com/scripts-df...59&lang=eng

The proper drivers (including the chipset ones) may be here, according to your OS: http://downloadfinder.intel.com/scripts-df...?ProductID=1065

Hope it will help.
