Hi,

I hope you can help as I have probably spent a fortune on techincal support on this!!

I have recently swapped Broadband supplier to Sky and using the wireless router supplied (Netgear DG834GT). I have successfully installed a wired connection to the router on this machine but am having issues connecting wirelessly to another PC.
The PC I am trying to run wirelessly is running XP Home SP2. The USB Dongle is a ZD1211b, driver 6.19, and is recognising the network and the signal strength and link are both upwards of 80%. I have set the WPA-PSK passphrase and all seems fine. (Btw, which encryption is used - I have it set to TKIP or disable, same problem whichever setting I use?) I get a connection and then it immediately drops. It then reconnects and drops and continues this cycle. It seems as if the router is not happy with something and rejects the connection. However, on occasion it does keep the connection but neither the wired PC or the router recognises that it is attached. (Using 192.168.0.1 options) What could cause this?
All firewalls are switched off.

The first time I tried this I did manage to get it for a few days and transferred some files over and had internet access, but now it won't have it (I suspect the kids have something to do with it!!)

Please help!!

Thanks

Frosty
