Just wanted to tell you all that Debian has today declared "Etch" stable and hence released Debian GNU/Linux 4.0.

i was under the impression debian was only good for servers, due to the lack of non gpl packages?
do you honestly run debian for a desktop?

Sure it's not as "user friendly" as some O/S but it's rock solid.
