Hi termoli, welcome to SAF

This is a mostly due to a virus infection.

- Download and run CrapCleaner from http://www.ccleaner.com/
Note: in CCleaner: go to <options/advanced> Uncheck "Only delete files in Windows Temp folders older than 48 hours").

- Run updated versions of Spybot S&D and AdAware SE (one at a time), cleaning all that may be listed.
Spybot - http://www.safer-networking.org/en/mirrors/index.html
AdAware - http://www.download.com/3000-2144-10045910.html
(remember to update databases before scanning and to set Spybot to Imunize your system)

- Perform an online virus scan from http://www.bitdefender.com/scan8/ie.html

Next, take a look at this pinned topic and post a HijackThis log here along with the Panda scan log, as we can take a look at them: http://www.suggestafix.com/index.php?showtopic=16053

Hi termoli,

Did Spybot S&D, Ad-Aware SE and BitDefender online find something ?

Disconnect from the Internet

Close all programs (including antivirus and any protection program you may have) leaving only HijackThis running. Place a check against each of the following, making sure you get them all and not any others by mistake:

R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://red.clientapps.yahoo.com/customize/.../search/ie.html

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchURL,(Default) = http://red.clientapps.yahoo.com/customize/...//www.yahoo.com

R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page = C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\blank.htm

O16 - DPF: {90051A81-3018-4826-8B38-DD60B6B53F9C} (Snapfish File Upload ActiveX Control) - http://www.clarkcolor.com/ClarkUpload.cab

Click on Fix Checked when finished and exit HijackThis.

Update Java: Go to your Control Panel, add-remove programs and click on the Java icon. Select modify/update.
Restart your system and uninstall any previous Java version from add-remove programs afterward.

Post back a fresh HJT log along with the answers to my questions and your comments. smile.gif
