Hi there beatsme.gif

I have a Belkin wireless network card which worked fine on my laptop for months. Suddenly it stopped working. I get a code 12 in device manager (can't find enough free resources). I tried completely rebuilding windows etc. nothing, tried windows XP Pro, nothing. i've since got onto belkin and after a 53 minute call was told what I knew in the first place.

I can't change the IRQ for the device in device manager, it won't let me and I'm not exactly sure what i'm doing here. Anyone have any suggestions?

Does anyone know if I buy a USB netwwork adapter, will it need an IRQ also?

Thanks

I just had a thought, this is a "PC-card" isn't it. You probably have to configure resources for the slot, not the card. The settings you need might be in the bios.

Regarding USB a similar rule applies, the USB controller should already have claimed one or more IRQs.

Hi there

I gave up and bought a USB card. It worked fine, i'm guessing it was the PC-card and not the machine, as everything else I've installed since worked fine!

No idea, i'm still stuck but at least I can get online with it now!

Thanks
