Hi!

My problem is that, previously i got two seagate barracuda harddisks. one is 40G and the other 80G both PATA.
now on 40GB i hav my windows running, and 80GB that contains 1 primary and 5 extended logical partitions is connected as slave.
I used Partition magic pro 8.05 to make some changes in two drives of the 80G drive (just resized them) and done a resize change on my primary bootable partition i.e. C:\
now my 80G harddisk was creating some system booting problem because of a damaged ide cable, i was stupid that i got somehow into the safe mode and used system restore of WinXP and restore the system onto previous date before th day i did the partitions changing.
now when the system rebooted, the 40G drive shows the upto-date partitions of C:\, but my secondary drive of 80G is completely lost !
i ran partition magic pro 8, it gave an error and exit, error was some sort of sector,
then i used hiren bootable cd and used its own partirion magic, that helped me to see all my partitions of 80G drives but without any drive letter. but just a star.
all my partitions are in ntfs.
i used testdisk and found all my data in there.
i guess my partition table is corrupted, now when i connect this 80G drive onto any ones PC and run partirion magic from running windows it shows a drive of about 80G and shows it as unallocated.
please help me recover my partition, my data is very valuable to me.
please.........!

Hi, shabaz, and welcome to our forum.

Sounds like you need Acronis Recovery Expert. I've had great results with this program, much more so at recovery than with Partition Magic.
