I hope this is the right topic area for this question. I have Trend Micro PC cillion Internet Security 2006 and was notified that there is a upgrade to me FREE. But this is major surgery or so it seems. Thoughts and hints please if anyone has upgraded this product.

It requires uninstall of old utility and I am not sure just what else. I can let certin Admin/Mods into the upgrade e-mail but this is a copy & paste. More info in the e-mail than here.

Hi Michael, did you see this ? http://www.suggestafix.com/index.php?showtopic=24838&hl=

I would never click on an e-mail link to upgrade anything though... if you really want to do it, better go to the official website. rolleyes.gif

I received the same email, and have the 83 meg. file tucked away in storage. However, the previous version is running great, so I have no desire to run this upgrade. It's primarily been redesigned for Vista, and has Microsoft's approval. I'm not interested in Vista, therefore I'm not interested in upgrading. If it ain't broke..... smile.gif

Thanks Chris, but I did feel safe opening it. It is from Trend Micro. I shall re-read the subject matter you direct me to again.

Jim I'm not even going to D/L it (83MB) not worth it to me. I have broadband and don't want to wait on this one. lol
Also your right it is for Vista mainly. I have a free Vista Upgrade on the laptop and so once this newness of Vista settles down and they have a real product I might just try it. After going into Best Buy and trying it on their machines first. Then make the decision to do it or not.

I posted the question and later on found out some more on the upgrade and Vista. I agree with both of you and thank each for the help given.
Enjoy.
