I lost my internet connection sharing but file and print sharing still work.

I have the following setup:
Host comp: XP
Client comp: XP
DSL modem
Netgear ethernet hub (wired)

This setup has worked for over two years. This week the internet sharing stopped working. I followed the internet connection sharing troubleshooter in XP and could not determine the problem. I reran the network setup wizard as per the troubleshooter.

The only thing I can think of that changed is possibly a windows update. My TCP/IP settings are set to obtain the addresses automatically.

I tried to surf the net for answers and all I could find was to make sure that UPnP Framework was checked in the Exceptions tab of the firewall. Other than that I can't see what might be causing this problem.

some routers has the ability to disable Internet sharing might you want to check on that.
are you running wirelessly?
